Helloughton is a small village surrounded by attractive countryside. A peaceful location that has very good access to the North Norfolk Coast, the coastal villages of Burnham Market and Brancaster and the sandy beaches of Thornham and Holme. The RSPB site at Titchwell offers wonderful bird-watching opportunities. The attractive market town of Fakenham is four miles away, with its shops, bowling alley, cinema, restaurants and a Thursday market which should not be missed. Pensthorpe, home to the BBC Springwatch programme, is a great day out for all ages and is just 3 miles south east of Fakenham. National Cycle Routes 1 & 2 are just two of the routes that are in the locality and they will certainly test your staying power. Holt is seven miles away and offers an excellent variety of specialist shops and dining places. There is an outstanding village shop in Binham located two miles away. In the surrounding villages there are many pubs, which serve good food.

The following properties (289, 290, 292, 293) have been skilfully converted from a range of traditional farm barns and come highly recommended by previous customers. Each cottage has its own essential character, but all have beamed ceilings, attractive interiors and comfortable furniture. Sculthorpe is located just one mile from the market town of Fakenham and eight miles from the popular North Norfolk Coast. The village has a fabulous fenland nature reserve, which is home to the Hawk and Owl Trust; the whole site is accessed via a Boardwalk and is a super place to observe a wide variety of bird and wildlife. Burnham Market and Holkham are easily accessible and Fakenham offers a variety of shopping opportunities, a very good weekly market, cinema and bowling centre. The village has two pubs both of which serve good food. National Cycle Route 2 runs through the village and the surrounding quiet lanes, eventually ending at Wells-next-the-Sea.
