Pound End is attached to the owner's farmhouse, situated in a quiet and rural location yet only three miles from the market town of Dereham which has some very good family attractions and a local market twice a week This is a working farm, the family makes one of Norfolk's famous brands of ice cream using the produce from their Holstein dairy herd. The property offers spacious and well equipped accommodation and is ideal for families or couples who like walking and cycling activities. The owner's swimming pool is available to guests during the months of May-September and guests enjoy exclusive use during the day. Accommodation overview: One of four very well appointed cottages offering sympathetically restored accommodation with use of a large recreation barn. Happisburgh (pronounced Haisbro) is a seaside village on the North East Coast of Norfolk, famous for its red and white lighthouse. It offers visitors a quiet, rural location, sandy beaches and cliff-top walks. The village has a post office/store and a traditional coaching inn and is within a 15-minute drive of the market towns of North Walsham and Stalham with easy access to the Norfolk Broads and many other tourist attractions. In past years Church Farm has been a favoured holiday location for famous artists such as Henry Moore, Barbara Hepworth, Ben Nicholson and Ivon Hitchens, keen to relax in a rural idyll. The large grain barn and stables have been sympathetically converted to retain character and create four beautiful cottages, which all have exposed flint walls and old beams. There is a large recreation barn (9am-8pm) offering a racket sports area, a pool table, table tennis table and a comfortable seating area with books and games. Little Snoring is the larger of the two and is well known locally for its distinctive church. The market town of Fakenham is just a couple of miles away and its weekly Thursday market is well worth a visit. Accommodation overview: The Old Coach House is a converted 17th Century coach house in the centre of Snettisham. Sandringham and the coastal resort of Hunstanton are just a short drive away, this and the fabulous nature and bird sites in the area make for a great holiday. The pleasant village of Snettisham offers something for everyone, whatever your age and whatever the weather! The beach is less than three miles and, with the traditional seaside resort of Hunstanton five miles away, it is a perfect location for discovering Norfolk's splendid coastline. Ornithologists will enjoy the RSPB reserves close by and there are many excellent walks and cycle rides in the area. There are many attractions offering excellent days out nearby.
