National Trust-owned since 1912, the point’s unique blend of dunes, salt marshes and creeks attract many species of birds – a bird-watcher’s paradise! Close by is Cley-next-the-Sea, where a nature reserve houses an important bird reserve.
The North Norfolk Coastal Path runs directly below the grounds, offering wonderful walking and rambling opportunities, and a lovely, invigorating way to see Norfolk’s smooth green belt. With the main road from Hunstanton to Cromer passing 200 yards away, it also makes an ideal base for exploring all the region’s attractions. The Wells and Walsingham Light Railway, the sailing centre at Mortson (1 mile) and many sandy and pebble beaches are within easy driving distance. Fakenham a short drive.
