Accommodation overview: Only three miles from the beautiful beach at Porthcurno, also home to the renowned open-air Minack Theatre, this traditional grade II listed terraced cottage is set in the quiet village of St Buryan.
Approached through a pretty little walled and gated garden, the front door opens to an entrance porch with coat pegs and an inner door leads directly into a warm and cosy sitting/dining room with a beamed ceiling, a large granite hearth housing the stove and a window overlooking the hedged front lawn. Beyond the living room, a short hallway gives access to a neatly fitted kitchen with rustic pine units and a low doorway, and a back door opens to the sheltered rear garden.
A rather steep and narrow carpeted staircase leads up to a small landing, a bathroom W.C. with hand basin and shower over the bath and a pine furnished double bedroom with scatter rugs on the rustic wood floorboards, some exposed granite stone and wooden shutters across the double glazed windows. There is unrestricted roadside parking outside the cottage and the village pub and general store/P.O. are only a two minute walk away.
The golden sands at Sennen, Lands End, Lamorna Cove, Mousehole and Penzance are all within a 5 mile radius, and St Ives is also within easy reach. The dramatic south west coast path has stunning views across the sea and a scenic circular bus route follows the coastal road around West Penwith. There is also a ferry service from Penzance to the Isles of Scilly.

Accommodation overview: Court Barton is situated in the village of Aveton Gifford adjacent to St. Andrews Church which dates from the 12th century. The 16th Century stone built owner's farmhouse looks down the valley to the Avon estuary and is set within some 8 acres of garden with a duck pond, fields and paddock, all of which is available for guests to enjoy. There are also a number of footpaths and bridle paths surrounding the property. The owners have two ponies (Twinkle and Mickey Mouse), as well as four ducks, a cockerel and several chickens (who lay lovely free range eggs!), and two friendly guinea pigs (Tuffers and Ginger). Aveton Gifford lies within the Avon Valley in the heart of the South Hams and is an ideal base to explore South Devon. The village boasts a friendly pub with restaurant and pool table. Bar meals are also offered and children are very welcome (www.the-fishermansrest.co.uk) Launching access for boats is available on the river Avon which meanders out to Bantham beach and the sea beyond. 'Clover', 'Buttercup' and 'Daisy' are three very tastefully decorated and furnished barns, retaining many original features including exposed beams and roof timbers. The popular beaches at Blackpool Sands and Slapton Sands as well as the nature reserve at Slapton Ley are within a pleasant 10 minute drive. Accommodation overview: A comfortable detached single storey cottage in lovely countryside, converted from a wagon house of natural stone and slate, to one side of the entrance of Pollingarrow Farm near the picturesque village of St Kew and only a 10 minute drive from the sandy beaches of the Camel Estuary.
Set in a walled and gated garden the cottage is entered from a sheltered patio area to the front. The door opens to a slate floored hallway with an adjacent shower room W.C. and hand basin. The living accommodation consists of a spacious open plan living room with the character of the wagon house preserved in a high ceiling open to the beams in the apex of the roof. The room is light and pleasant with a pine floor and windows on three sides and a partly separated kitchen.
At the other end of the cottage a spacious bedroom has a 5' kingsize bed, hand basin and a window looking over the front patio area. There is a wall mounted electric heater in each room. At the rear a grassy fenced garden looks out over farmland and an under cover drying area has been provided.
St Kew Highway, about five minutes drive, has a pub, garage, and mini market, the village of St Kew about 3 / 4 mile has a pretty church and an old pub that offers good pub food and there is a 9 hole golf course 1 mile away.

Ideally situated to enjoy the dramatic north Cornish Coastline, rugged moorland and fishing villages. Over The Hedge offers comfortable and cosy accommodation year round. A canopied porch and glazed door opens directly into the light and airy living room comprising the ground floor with slate flooring and rural views from the two windows. A modern well fitted kitchen is set to one side with dining furniture and comfortable lounge seating arranged before an attractive open stone fireplace with a woodburning stove and original clome oven.
A winding carpeted staircase leads up to the first floor where you will find the attractive double bedroom with kingsize bed and dual aspect overlooking the garden to one side and surrounding countryside to the other. A door from the bedroom and landing gives access to the En-suite shower room W.C with hand basin and heated towel rail.
From the living room a glazed door at the rear leads out to a paved patio and onto the tiered landscaped lawn bordered by a Cornish hedge on both sides, fruit trees and a wild garden at the top. To one side the garden continues to the front paved patio and small lawn enclosed by trellis fencing. There is a gated drive to the side with parking for 1 car.
Hallworthy 2 miles has a country pub and Marshgate 2.5 miles with its P.O store is the nearest village for your day to day needs. Wainhouse Corner 5 miles has a pub, garage and P.O store. The nearest beach is 7 miles away at Crackington Haven with the resort of Bude with its shops, restaurants, tennis courts and watersports is within a 30 minute drive. Trelash is on the Cornish Way cycle network and the south west coast path at Boscastle gives access to some dramatic coastal walks with Bodmin Moor providing many rugged scenic walks nearby. The historic houses & gardens at Pencarrow, Prideaux & Lanhydrock are all within a 40 minute drive. The coastal towns of Boscastle and Tintagel are 7 & 10 miles respectively and the picturesque harbour village of Port Isaac famous for Doc Martin is within a 30 minute drive.
