The Georgian town of Holt is just two miles away and offers good quality shops, art galleries and eating places and Holt Country Park, where you can enjoy way marked walks and nature trails. There are two pubs in the neighbouring villages of Hunworth and Letheringsett, which serve good food.

Set in the peaceful hamlet of Little Thornage, Honeysuckle Cottage is a charming detached holiday home created from two small brick and flint cottages. The original cottages have been carefully restored and are linked at ground floor level by an opening between the sitting and dining rooms. The pretty bedrooms, served by separate staircases at each end of the property, retain the original layout. A lane leads from the cottage to the ford and footbridge over the beautiful River Glaven. An organic farm shop and cafe is half a mile from the cottage and there are several pubs nearby serving good food. Shop/Pub: 0.5 miles
