Norwich and Great Yarmouth are both about a half an hour's drive away. Boat enthusiasts will enjoy the sight of one of the last remaining wherries, as well as the heritage sailing fleet based at Womack Staithe.

Many years ago trading wherries sailed along the waterways and took malted barley from the large Maltings near Womack Staithe. The Maltings has been converted into small individual homes and The Tardis is one of these. Each has its own private sunny patio and overlooks a long raised lawn with fields and woodland beyond. Bakers Cottage is a charming Grade II listed building dating back to the 1800s. It has been renovated to provide modern facilities, whilst retaining its olde world charm, including driftwood beams that were found on the beach at Great Yarmouth. The tiny back door leads out on to the pretty south-facing decked area, the perfect place to relax after a day spent enjoying this beautiful part of Norfolk. Shops/Pub: walking distance
