Accommodation overview: Only three miles from the beautiful beach at Porthcurno, also home to the renowned open-air Minack Theatre, this traditional grade II listed terraced cottage is set in the quiet village of St Buryan.
Approached through a pretty little walled and gated garden, the front door opens to an entrance porch with coat pegs and an inner door leads directly into a warm and cosy sitting/dining room with a beamed ceiling, a large granite hearth housing the stove and a window overlooking the hedged front lawn. Beyond the living room, a short hallway gives access to a neatly fitted kitchen with rustic pine units and a low doorway, and a back door opens to the sheltered rear garden.
A rather steep and narrow carpeted staircase leads up to a small landing, a bathroom W.C. with hand basin and shower over the bath and a pine furnished double bedroom with scatter rugs on the rustic wood floorboards, some exposed granite stone and wooden shutters across the double glazed windows. There is unrestricted roadside parking outside the cottage and the village pub and general store/P.O. are only a two minute walk away.
The golden sands at Sennen, Lands End, Lamorna Cove, Mousehole and Penzance are all within a 5 mile radius, and St Ives is also within easy reach. The dramatic south west coast path has stunning views across the sea and a scenic circular bus route follows the coastal road around West Penwith. There is also a ferry service from Penzance to the Isles of Scilly.

Accommodation overview: A spacious, comfortable double glazed detached family house, only a ten minute walk down the hill to the lovely sandy beach and the river Gannel estuary, on the outskirts of Crantock village. Set to one side of the road that leads down to the village square and beach car park, the property is entered through a gated driveway where there is space for three cars.
The front door opens into a small hallway and to one side is a warm and inviting sitting room with ample seating for eight people arranged before the fireplace with an electric flicker flame fire and sliding patio doors that lead out to the rear garden. On the opposite side of the hall is a very pleasant dining room with a door opening to a ground floor cosy double bedroom with dressing area and one step up to a tiny en-suite shower room W.C. with hand basin.
At the rear of the property, a fully fitted galley kitchen can be reached both from the dining room and the sitting room, with a door to the garden and adjacent utility room with laundry facilities.
Upstairs are a bathroom W.C. with hand basin and large shower cubicle and three good size charming bedrooms all with vanity basins and built in wardrobes. There is a 5ft double, one with zip linked 3ft twin beds and a spacious bedroom with a double and a single bed to vary the sleeping arrangements. The rear garden has a lower patio and half a dozen steps leading up to a raised lawn, young children will require supervision as there are unguarded drops. A lockable garage is available for bikes, beachgear and surfboards and the garden is enclosed when the driveway is gated.
The village has a church, small shops, tea gardens and two pubs which offer food, all within a five minute walk and the lovely wide sandy beach backed by dunes is a further five minute walk. The holiday resort of Newquay, 3 miles by road, has a good selection of shops, a rail and coach station and many attractions including the Zoo and Sea Life Centre. There are also lovely coastal walks in the immediate area.

Accommodation overview: A comfortable single storey cottage adjoining Wagtail. The cottage has been fitted to the same high standards yet has slightly more space and certainly with its own character. Entered from the parking area in front of the cottage, a side gate and path lead round to the rear of the cottage where there is a little fenced garden with a patio and area of grass.
A porch way with coat pegs leads into a very spacious sitting dining room, the ceiling echoing the shape of the original cowshed. Now a very pleasant room with windows to the garden and countryside beyond. At one end a brick archway leads to a fully fitted kitchen.
There are two spacious bedrooms one with a double and single bed and one with a king size double bed. A shower room W.C. with hand basin completes the accommodation.

Accommodation overview: French Windows to the front of the cottage lead directly into the open-plan ground floor with rustic board and beam ceiling, a slate floor and white painted stone walls.
To one side is a small neatly fitted galley kitchen with a ceramic two ring hob, combination microwave and a small oak dining suite. One step leads up beneath a timber archway to the seating area at the rear with period furniture, comfortable leather armchairs facing the wood burning stove and a window overlooking the sunny terraced area.
A narrow winding staircase leads up to the delightful bedroom with a canopied beam ceiling, rustic pine floorboards and a king-size bed. A skylight allows visitors to watch the stars at night. A small en-suite bathroom W.C. with wash basin and a bath with hand shower fitment completes the accommodation.
The owner regrets that only adults will be accepted because of the potential danger of the river.

Accommodation overview: Located within the picturesque wooded Lamorna Valley and just a mile from the tiny harbour at Lamorna Cove, this recently extended, traditional semi detached granite cottage is set in a beautiful and relaxing mature country garden. Built in 1890 and thoughtfully renovated to retain a great deal of character including antique furniture and deeply recessed sash windows, this is an ideal location with easy access to both the Minack Theatre and St Michael's Mount.
Approached from a parking bay with ample space for two cars, a gated path and one step leads up to a sheltered sun terrace with garden table and chairs and from here, patio doors open directly into a pleasantly fitted kitchen/dining room. A rustic dining suite in the centre of the room has views over the informal garden and in one corner, three steps lead up to a bathroom W.C. with hand basin and electric shower over the bath and a utility room with laundry facilities and access to a small service yard.
In the original part of the cottage, a warm and cosy sitting room has rugs on the pine floorboards, comfortable seating arranged around a granite chimney breast and a window overlooking the terrace and garden. A wooden staircase leads up to the first floor landing. On one side is a twin bedded room with tranquil views from dual aspect windows, and on the opposite side, three steps lead down to the master bedroom with a 5ft double and an adjacent shower room W.C. with hand basin.
The garden which extends around two sides of the property has a raised terrace which catches the sun all day and a couple of rustic steps that lead down to the grassy garden and a fire-pit for summer evenings. Although enclosed and an ideal place for older children to explore, toddlers will require supervision as there are some unguarded drops. The owner’s artist studio is adjacent to the cottage and is accessed via the same pathway.
A bridleway at the rear of the property leads to the local pub, The Wink, 1 mile away, and continues down to Lamorna Cove where there is The Cove Hotel for restaurant dining, a small sandy beach at low tide adjacent to the harbour and a seasonal café. St Buryan, 3 miles, has a church, village store, P.O., pub and garage and for a wider selection of amenities, the seaside town of Penzance is less than 5 miles away.
There are stunning cliff walks along this dramatic coastline both east and west, particularly the ten mile stretch from Lamorna to Lands End with numerous ancient sites to explore. It is also an excellent base for exploring the west of Cornwall by car and an easy drive to Penzance, Mousehole, Porthcurno and Marazion all within a 15 minute drive and only a little further to Sennen Cove and St Ives.

Set to one side of the Mevagissey road and fronted by a small but very pretty walled and gated garden it is entered via a side path to a service courtyard at one side.
A door opens directly into a small fitted kitchen with a glazed door leading into an attractive beamed sitting / dining room with comfortable seating and a fireplace with an electric fire at the further end.
Open tread stairs go directly up to the first floor where there is a bathroom W.C. with hand basin, bath and shower cubicle and a bedroom with a double bed. A traditional staircase continues up to the top floor and a delightful bedroom with a 4ft double bed. There is a useful shed for bike and beach gear storage.
A small shop about 150 yards away has long opening hours during the season There is a bistro restaurant in the village and a pub a short walk away. Pentewan village about 2 miles has a pub, restaurant and small shops. Ideally situated for touring the County, the cottage is approximately midway between the Lost Gardens of Heligan and The Eden Project, with beaches and golf courses within easy reach.
On one side of the valley between London Apprentice and Pentewan is the beautiful and ancient Kings Wood popular with walkers and cyclists. St Austell 2 miles has a leisure centre, shops and cinema and its main line railway station and bus terminus can be easily accessed from a bus stop at London Apprentice. The picturesque harbours of Mevagissey and Charlestown are approximately 4 miles.

Accommodation overview: Situated on the outskirts of the stunning natural port of Fowey and only half a mile from the sandy beach at Readymoney Cove, this comfortable attractive cottage, tastefully converted from a former mill, is tucked into one corner of a small group of stone-built cottages.
Set in over an acre of beautiful communal grounds with children’s play area, picnic benches and barbecues for all the visitors to enjoy, the property has the added bonus of its own private lawned garden area to the front and rear of the cottage.
Approached from the parking area, where there is one reserved space, a couple of steps and gently sloping path lead up to the fully-glazed low front doorway, which opens directly into a living room of great character with natural exposed stonework and a beamed ceiling.
There is a little dining area with pine table and chairs, a galley-style kitchen with light-coloured fitted units and one step leads up to a warm and cosy lounge with seating arranged before an electric coal-effect stove set in the fireplace and a fully glazed back door.
In one corner of the living room carpeted stairs lead up to the first floor landing, where is a bathroom with a W.C., hand basin and shower over the bath, along with two cottage-style bedrooms with pleasant garden views. One is a pine-furnished double bedroom with fitted wardrobe and the other is a children’s bedroom with two 2ft 6in single beds (more suitable for preteens due to the size of the room).
A low patio door opens from the lounge into a small rear garden with a gravel terrace and half a dozen steps leading up to a sheltered lawn with post and rail fencing and garden furniture overlooking the landscaped grounds. Pets must be supervised at all times, as should children when using the play area.
Fowey, half a mile downhill, is a charming waterside town with shops, restaurants, pubs and gift shops, and it is also half a mile by public footpath to the small sheltered beach at Readymoney Cove below St Catherine’s Castle. Pleasure boats leave from Town Quay during the season, there are lovely creek and coastal walks nearby, including The Hall Walk, a ferry crosses the harbour to Polruan and The Saints Way footpath can be taken from Fowey to Padstow on the North Coast.
Lanhydrock House and the Eden Project are a 15-minute drive away, and the picturesque villages of Polperro and Looe can be accessed by the Bodinnick car ferry nearby. There is also a seasonal passenger ferry to the fishing village of Mevagissey.

About one mile away is the sandy beach at Gorran Haven and access to miles of stunning cliff walks along parts of the South West Coastal Path to places such as Dodman Point and Chapel Point.
The working fishing village of Mevagissey is 3 miles away with a popular harbour and plenty of restaurants and pubs, and for a wider selection of amenities the town of St Austell is 9 miles. For garden lovers, the cottage is just 3.5 miles from Caerhays Castle, 4 miles from the Lost Gardens of Heligan, home to Lobbs Farm Shop and a 30 minute drive to The Eden Project.
