Self catering accommodation in Bodinnick sleeps 6.
Accommodation overview: With superb views over Fowey’s natural harbour, this detached and double glazed Cornish cottage has been recently refurbished throughout. It is set into the hillside just off the road which runs through Bodinnick village and down to the ferry slipway and is directly behind the picturesque Old Ferry Inn.
It is approached by a short unpaved footpath which winds between the cottages. A gated path and short flight of steps lead up to the main entrance at first floor level. The inverted accommodation takes every advantage of the expansive river and sea views with the open plan kitchen, dining area and living room all benefitting from the lovely estuary vista. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking and entertaining.
The living room leads out onto a south facing patio and pretty hillside garden which gets sun throughout the day. On the same floor are two bathrooms; one shower room and one bathroom, both with hand basins and WC’s. The hallway has an airing cupboard and coat hooks. The sleeping accommodation is in the older 17th Century part of the cottage. On the first floor are two of the bedrooms. A children’s room with 2ft 6in bunks, and a double with hand basin reached via two short flights of stairs. On the ground floor are two further bedrooms, one with a 5ft double and hand basin and one with twin 2ft 6in beds.
There is electric central heating. Due to the narrow original staircase in the older part of the cottage, this property is not suitable for the less mobile.
There is parking for two medium sized cars at a private garage about 50 yards from the property, and it is also possible to park on the road in the upper part of the village. The Bodinnick car ferry runs regularly from 7am to 7pm across to Fowey where there is a wide selection of shops, restaurants and pubs.
The cottage is in the heart of Du Maurier country – Daphne herself grew up at the house at the bottom of Bodinnick hill - and it is in short driving distance of The Eden Project, The Lost Gardens of Heligan, and the picturesque fishing ports of Mevagissey, Polperro and Looe. There are plenty of local walks from the relatively easy Hall Walk to Polruan to the more challenging clifftop path along to Polperro and beyond.
Please note: Towels not available

Self catering accommodation in Portloe sleeps 4.
Accommodation overview: Only 150 yards from the sea with elevated sea views from the sunny south facing garden, this pretty semi-detached cottage of great character is situated in the unspoilt Cornish fishing village of Portloe, tucked far down on the delightful Roseland Peninsula.
Here, stoutly built cottages with slated grey roofs cluster along the lower slopes of the well sheltered and secluded valley and around the shores of a small Cornish cove where a few boats still unload their catch of lobster, crab and other fish.
Proncha is within 60 yards of the coastal path and easy walking distance of the picturesque cove, slipway and pub. There is a shop and sub post office at Veryan 1.5 miles away and Melinsey Mill offering cream teas and lunch is close by. Several sandy beaches are a short drive away.
Approached through a small walled and gated front garden, the front door set beneath an open porch leads directly into a comfortable sitting room with a slate hearth. Linked by three steps is a maple fitted kitchen / dining room. Both rooms have low beam ceilings and terracotta tile floors with rugs. The windows, set into thick stone walls, look out over the garden.
Upstairs are two bedrooms with a double bed and twin beds respectively and a bathroom W.C. with hand basin, shower over the bath and an access door to the garden. Tucked into the hillside the main part of the garden has a grassed sun bathing area behind the Fuchsia hedge, flower beds and shrubs on three levels with a Gazebo providing shelter and a commanding view over the bay in the direction of Dodman Point. Toddlers will require supervision.
It is possible to unload the car outside the cottage; parking is available 50 yards away in the village car park (honesty box).
The harbourside village of St Mawes is about a 20 minute drive where a passenger ferry operates to the maritime town of Falmouth. The main shopping centres of Truro and St Austell are within easy reach as are many of the finest Cornish Gardens including Caerhays Castle, the Lost Gardens of Heligan and The Eden Project.

Accommodation overview: Netherton Farm is set in a small peaceful hamlet approximately two miles from Kingsbridge in a secluded valley surrounded by five acres of beautiful farm and woodland. This area is a haven for birds and wildlife and a favourite for walkers with or without a four-legged friend! Salcombe is about seven miles in one direction and Dartmouth slightly further in the other. Slapton Sands with its spectacular rugged coastline, is only five miles from Netherton, and Bantham Sands to the west with it's wide sandy beach. The three properties at Netherton Farm - Boxtree Barn, Bay Tree Cottage and Willow Studio - are all very different in design but offer all guests a high standard of accommodation in a stunning location. Each property enjoys the benefit of full central heating and hot water to ensure a warm, cosy welcome at all times of the year, as well as use of the fabulous heated outdoor swimming pool (10m x 5m) by arrangement with the owners - who live nearby at the Farmhouse - from Easter until the end of October (weather permitting!).
