Accommodation overview: This former farm workers cottage dating back over 250 years has been sympathetically restored to offer cosy and characterful accommodation location at the foot of Blencathra, 5 miles from Keswick. Threlkeld is steeped in history with its church dating back to 1573 and its two pubs back to 1688.The pubs serve good food and real ale and are only a few minutes walk from the cottage. Blease Cottage is an ideal location to enjoy the peaceful countryside with its many walks from the door, as well as golf and cycling opportunities.There is walking from the cottage to suit all, a level railway path into Keswick, walks on the fells around the village and more challenging walks up onto Blencathra and Skiddaw. Accommodation overview: This traditional cottage dates back to the 18th century, set in the Heart of walkers paradise Rosthwaite with the fells circumscribing the village at the foot of the Borrowdale Valley. The property oozes olde worlde charm with each room having original beams Nokka still retains its slate flagged floor. Nokka was originally a yeomans or statesmans house ( farmhouse) and following that it became an inn. In 1769 the poet Thomas Gray went on a tour of the lakes and Nokka is mentioned in his Journal which was published in1775 after his death in 1771. In more recent times Nokka was drawn by A Wainwright and can be seen in his book The Coast to Coast Walk.

Accommodation overview: High Cunsey Cottage was the former cow shed, yes cow shed, to High Cunsey Farm, a traditional Westmorland farmhouse in a delightful, quiet area of the Lakes. Beatrix Potter loved this part of Lakeland, the sheer beauty and tranquility that so greatly inspired her remains unchanged to this day. High Cunsey nestles on the shores of Lake Windermere, the farmhouse and cottage sharing their own rather special piece of Lake frontage and shoreline. A variety of walks can be enjoyed from the door, a mile or so to the nearest watering hole, with Grizedale Forest and the Go Ape experience only a short distance from Cunsey, by foot, bike or car. Alternatively, a trip on the car ferry across Lake Windermere will bring you to the busier resort of Bowness, excellent for shopping with a variety of specialist shops, bars and restaurants.

Situated at Nenthead in the North Pennine Hills, 4 miles from Alston, this 17th century detached cottage is full of original features including, beams and open fire. The village has a pub, restaurant, shop and visitor centre at Nenthead mines. Alston is the highest market town in England, with steep cobbled streets and an interesting variety of shops and galleries. This is a panoramic landscape of fells, moors, ravines, valleys, mountains,rivers and waterfalls ( the highest waterfall in England is High Force approximately 10 miles away). Crisscrossed with bridleways, ancient tracks, Englands highest footpath, the Pennine Way and the C2C cycle route, the area is ideal for walking, cycling, pot holing and pony trekking.

Situated in 10 acres of grounds and only 1 mile from the lake, with walks from the door step, including Aira Force where you can enjoy stunning views to Ullswater along the way. There is a shop at a neighbouring camp site, a pub within 1 mile and more amenities in Pooley Bridge, 3 miles. Accommodation overview: The cottage which is situated on a small working farm was built in the 1700s and was originally part of the main farm house. It benefits from a stunning location at Waberthwaite 4.5 miles from the beach and sea in the Western Lake District and with the beautiful Eskdale Valley on the doorstep. This little hamlet has a pub providing good food, a shop and post office on Woodalls farm which is famous for its Cumberland sausage and bacon, by appointment of the Royal Family. Row farm has 175 acres, most of which guests are free to walk across, and breeds suckler cows and sheep. The farmer is happy to show guests round and children will love the spring time when sheep are lambing and the cows are calving.
