Fakenham is one of Norfolk's traditional country towns, which has a good selection of shops, pubs and restaurants and three supermarkets. It has hosted a weekly market since 1250, and although the goods provided for sale may have changed somewhat, together with the auction it still provides a very popular day out for bargain hunters! The town also has a cinema and a ten-pin bowling alley as well as a National Hunt racecourse. Fakenham is just ten miles from the sandy beach at Holkham, two miles from Pensthorpe Nature Reserve, as featured in the BBC Springwatch nature programme, and two miles from The Hawk and Owl Trust at Sculthorpe.

The Cottage is a beautifully presented holiday cottage, which retains much of its original character, including pamment floors and original fireplaces. Pets: One small, short haired dog only acceptable at the property.
Notes: There are steep stairs in keeping with a cottage of this age. There is right of way access to the rear of the property. All short breaks are required to finish on or before Friday.
