The property offers spacious and well equipped accommodation and is ideal for families or couples who like walking and cycling activities. Accommodation overview: One of four very well appointed cottages offering sympathetically restored accommodation with use of a large recreation barn. Happisburgh (pronounced Haisbro) is a seaside village on the North East Coast of Norfolk, famous for its red and white lighthouse. It offers visitors a quiet, rural location, sandy beaches and cliff-top walks. The village has a post office/store and a traditional coaching inn and is within a 15-minute drive of the market towns of North Walsham and Stalham with easy access to the Norfolk Broads and many other tourist attractions. In past years, Church Farm has been a favoured holiday location for famous artists such as Henry Moore, Barbara Hepworth, Ben Nicholson and Ivon Hitchens, keen to relax in a rural idyll. The large grain barn and stables have been sympathetically converted to retain character and create four beautiful cottages, which all have exposed flint walls and old beams. There is a large recreation barn (9am-8pm) offering a racket sports area, a pool table, table tennis table and a comfortable seating area with books and games. Each cottage has its own door allowing access directly into the recreation barn. There is an excellent pub/restaurant in the village which is within walking distance. East and West Rudham villages flow into each other and are situated in a very pretty area of West Norfolk. East Rudham has a lovely village green with a "gastro" pub and a very popular boutique/cafe/shop in the local area. Stately homes abound with Houghton Hall and Holkham in the area. The market town of Fakenham has an excellent market on a Thursday and there is a chance to visit the auction rooms on the same day. The sandy beaches of Wells, Hunstanton and Brancaster are a short distance by car and of course there is excellent bird watching at both Titchwell and Holme nature reserves. Burnham Market village, just 20 mins drive, offers an amazing unique shopping experience within a wealth of historic buildings. Mallard Cottage is a large semi-detached period (1890) brick and flint cottage which stands in half an acre of private gardens (with a natural pond), yet within walking distance of the village centre. It has an abundance of interesting features, including exposed beams and attractive fireplaces. Accommodation overview: Hunny is a very comfortable property which is well equipped and close to the beach and town centre. Hunstanton is a popular traditional seaside town, with a long sandy beach backed by distinctive striped cliffs. There are reminders of its Victorian origins including the promenade, the large green and the attractive esplanade gardens. Hunstanton town offers a host of activities for the family including a Sea Life Centre, a fun fair, tennis courts, bowling green and a sports and leisure centre with indoor swimming pool, crazy golf and pitch & putt course. A little further along is quieter Old Hunstanton, which is a picturesque village with mellow carrstone houses, an impressive medieval church and a championship golf course. The nature reserves at Scolt Head, Titchwell and Holme Dunes are just a short distance away. The coastal footpaths in the area are great for walking and bird watching opportunities. The Royal Sandringham Estate is approximately eight miles away, a wonderful day out with its cycling, walking and picnic opportunities. Hunny is a semi-detached house which is close to the beach and town centre. Well-equipped and spacious, the accommodation is comfortable and well presented.
