The glorious surrounding landscape makes delightful walking and cycling country quiet lanes lead to pretty villages and there are five good dining pubs within 3 miles. Visitors will find a host of activities and attractions to suit every taste within easy reach. Kirkby Lonsdale's fine range of quality shops and Ingleton's famous waterfall walks and caves are all 8 miles distant and Kendal is an easy trip of about 20 miles. Beatrix Potter's home (N.T.) in the Lake District and Lake Windermere's cruises and excellent water sports opportunities are less than an hour's drive. Golf and horse riding can be enjoyed nearby and village shops and pubs are 2 miles.
