With a high vaulted ceiling giving a sense of space and light, the spacious comfortable open plan living room has a log burning stove for cosy evenings all through the year and a modern well equipped kitchen /dining area. An attractive twin bedroom and shower room is also on the ground floor. From the entrance hallway a solid wood staircase rises up to the mezzanine floor and a spacious double bedroom with separate dressing room and ensuite bathroom. This attractive galleried landing area, with far reaching views, is a lovely spot for relaxing in the comfy chairs to read a book or the morning papers, and a second TV is a useful bonus for families. A real treat is the large lawn to the side of the cottage, ideal for children to run and play, and the pretty front patio is just perfect for leisurely al fresco meals, barbecues or just relaxing at any time of day. Part of the farmhouse dates back to 1684 and it has been sympathetically extended and restored to feature flagstone floors, exposed stone walls and beams, natural wood doors and oak flooring. Believed to be dated from the 17th century, many character features remain, including flagstone floors, oak beams and latch doors. The spacious accommodation includes a stylish living room with impressive fireplace housing a wood burning stove, making the cottage cosy all year round and a separate dining room comfortably seating six. The attractive kitchen has been totally refurbished and a useful shower room leads off.
