Being in the same location as our cottage Thatcher’s Leggett gives a perfect opportunity for extended families or friends to enjoy their own space while holidaying together. With a high vaulted ceiling giving a sense of space and light, the spacious comfortable open plan living room has a log burning stove for cosy evenings all through the year and a modern well equipped kitchen /dining area. An attractive twin bedroom and shower room is also on the ground floor. From the entrance hallway a solid wood staircase rises up to the mezzanine floor and a spacious double bedroom with separate dressing room and ensuite bathroom. This attractive galleried landing area, with far reaching views, is a lovely spot for relaxing in the comfy chairs to read a book or the morning papers, and a second TV is a useful bonus for families. A real treat is the large lawn to the side of the cottage, ideal for children to run and play, and the pretty front patio is just perfect for leisurely al fresco meals, barbecues or just relaxing at any time of day. Keen walkers will enjoy taking the footpath to stunning Putsborough beach, which leads almost from the doorstep and takes around twenty minutes.

The small village of Prixford lies less than half an hour's drive from the wonderful North Devon Coastline and a choice of superb beaches. The surrounding countryside with rolling hills and wooded valleys offers miles of paths for walking, riding or cycling and there is a good choice of golf courses nearby. If you like to take your country pursuits closer to home, the spring fed carp and trout ponds at the bottom of the garden provide a perfect spot for a little fishing. Fabulous Marwood Hill Gardens is within a ten minute walk, and if you visit on a Sunday be sure to try the delicious cream tea in Marwood Church Hall.

Part of the farmhouse dates back to 1684 and it has been sympathetically extended and restored to feature flagstone floors, exposed stone walls and beams, natural wood doors and oak flooring. The huge family kitchen / breakfast room is light and bright with fitted units, slate worktops and an attractive decorative stone fireplace, a really special place to gather the family for leisurely breakfasts while planning the day ahead. A separate utility room and rear hall has lots of space for storing any amount of boots, coats, and beach equipment or even pushchairs. This idyllic Grade II listed thatched cottage nestling in the delightful sleepy hamlet of Harracott is the perfect rural retreat, surrounded by unspoilt countryside yet within easy reach of a fabulous choice of North Devon beaches. Believed to be dated from the 17th century, many character features remain, including flagstone floors, oak beams and latch doors. The spacious accommodation includes a stylish living room with impressive fireplace housing a wood burning stove, making the cottage cosy all year round and a separate dining room comfortably seating six. The attractive kitchen has been totally refurbished and a useful shower room leads off. As the rooms flow naturally between one to another, a small study area leads through to a second sitting room, an ideal children's space with additional TV, or a perhaps a second sitting room for groups of friends or couples holidaying together.
