It is in an ideal location for exploring Norfolk's Breckland, an area of heathland and forest set in the heart of Norfolk. The village is five miles from both the market towns of Dereham and Swaffham, which offer good shopping, restaurants, pubs and sports centres. The coast is a little further afield with Wells and Holkham being the closes, approx 30 minutes by car.
