Retaining all its period features with rooms of large proportions and high ceilings, it is set on three floors and some rooms boast excellent sea views. Situated in a conservation area in Cromer town, it is less than 220 yards from the sandy beach and within walking distance of Cromer pier. Perfectly positioned in the heart of the town for its wealth of amenities and attractions for all ages. Cromer offers promenade gardens, a pier with a theatre hosting regular concerts and featuring visiting performers, an RNLI lifeboat station and museum, an 18-hole cliff top golf course, plenty of shops, cafes and restaurants, and a number of public houses within ½ mile. Popular events include Carnival week (normally held during the third week of August), and fireworks over the water on New Year’s Day (weather permitting). There are many National Trust properties within an easy drive. The neighbouring seaside town of Sheringham (5 miles) has a sandy beach, the North Norfolk Steam Railway, Splash Aqua pool, Sheringham gardens, regular market days, shops, cafes and restaurants. Sandringham Estate which is one of the Queen’s country homes is well worth a visit and is open to the public unless a member of the Royal family is residence. Only an 18-mile drive away is King’s Lynn – a busy town with several splendid Tudor and Georgian buildings and is perfect for meandering down the alleyways that lead back from the pretty waterfront. A short distance is the pretty town of Burnham Thorpe – birthplace of Horatio Nelson and where today in the parish church the lectern is made out of timbers taken from his famous ship the Victory as well as a small exhibition on his life. Closer to home are the beaches, shops, pubs and restaurants of Thornham (1 mile).
