Situated in the lovely harbour area of Ilfracombe, this charming 19th century terraced cottage is stylishly presented retains many original features. Approached from a private gated lane there are a few steps up to the pretty front terrace and entrance door. The spacious light and bright living/dining room features oak beams, panelled walls and has an attractive brick fireplace housing a coal effect electric fire, ideal for cosy evenings. Having an elevated position it benefits from a great view over the harbour side towards Hillsborough and you can enjoy a leisurely breakfast whilst watching the world go by! The modern well equipped kitchen is fitted in cream with beech worktops and a small breakfast bar. As may be expected in a property of this age the family bathroom is on the ground floor and has a pristine white suite. On the first floor are a beautifully presented double bedroom with an ensuite shower room and an attractive twin bedroom. Ideally located close to the seashore, Quay Cottage is within walking distance of all that this popular resort has to offer, and is a perfect base for exploring the nearby rugged coastal paths and natural beauty of Exmoor National Park.

In an elevated position close to the Hillsborough Nature Reserve, Cornmill Cottage is just a few minutes stroll from the small sand and shingle cove of Hele Bay. Just five minutes drive from Ilfracombe, Watermouth Castle and the secluded harbour of Watermouth Cove, it is an ideal base for exploring this beautiful area. The cosy living room with oak beams and an impressive stone fireplace housing an electric wood burning stove leads through to a spacious kitchen / dining room oozing character and charm, ideal for family meals or romantic dinners and a stable door leads out onto a small fully enclosed decked patio. Fairly steep and narrow stairs, as can be expected in a cottage of this era, lead up to a huge master bedroom with lovely views over the surrounding countryside. A pretty twin room and modern family bathroom complete the picture. For the energetic an 18 hole golf course or indoor swimming pool is within walking distance and the South West Coastal Path can be joined nearby. For serious sand and surf lovers the award winning beaches of Woolacombe and Croyde are just a short drive away.
