Accommodation overview: Stonecroft is a traditional style, 18th century stone Yorkshire Dales cottage, quietly situated in a cobbled lane, just off the Market Square in the historic Wensleydale town of Middleham. The imposing castle is a short distance away and all the towns amenities are within a minutes walk where you will find a regular bus service. Although recently totally renovated to a high standard, Stonecroft still retains much character and many original features, including exposed beams in all rooms and exposed stonework to parts of the kitchen. The property is heated by a multi-fuel stove set in an inglenook fireplace which controls the central heating. Portable heaters are also provided and water can be heated through the immersion heater. The period oak furnishings and subtle concealed lighting have been carefully selected to make your stay cosy and comfortable in this delightful holiday home. Cundalls is a beautiful stone barn converted to a very high standard in the last year resulting in this individual property which is oozing with character and architectural features.Hardwood ash floors,stone flags and oak beams abound. Central heating is provided by a truly unique woodburner in the large lounge (electric oil filled radiators are provided for those of you who may prefer not to light the stove or may just require a small amount of background heat during the warmer summer months). Cundalls is furnished in an eclectic style with a high degree of luxury for both families and couples. With three bedrooms upstairs Cundalls can comfortably accommodate up to six guests, the well equipped kitchen has everything you need for self catering. A shed is also available for those wishing to take advantage of the quiet roads and bring their own bicycles. This property is sure to appeal to those wanting something a little different. Outside is a serene courtyard and BBQ area overflowing with creeping plants and shrubs providing a quiet secluded area for you to enjoy al fresco dining. For those wishing to let off a little steam, the field behind the cottage is available for ball games etc. Snape village has a good pub serving food, an excellent farm shop, a lovely beck running through the centre, and a castle, dating from 1426 which was once the home of Henry VIIIs last, and surviving, wife Katherine Parr.
