Accommodation overview: Quietly nestling beside The Green and overlooking Clapham Beck, Old Manor House is a delightful 18th century cottage which is detached and enjoys spacious enclosed gardens and a patio to the rear. This period property offers a warm and cosy welcome with open fires in both the lounge and dining room along with an abundance of panelled walls and period furniture in keeping with its era. A short flight of stairs leads to a glazed garden room overlooking the patio, pond and garden and can be accessed from a ground floor level to the rear of the property which is slightly elevated from the front perfect for relaxing on the occasional furniture, eating breakfast, or leaving coats and boots in here too! As the property is quite spacious it would appeal to the larger or extended family or for those enjoying outdoor pursuits. From the cottage, a gentle walk of some 200 yards along the banks of the beck leads to the village inn which serves excellent food.

Accommodation overview: Stable Cottage is a delightful, newly completed modern and bright property which has been converted by the owners with great passion and attention to detail. Stable Cottage is hidden secretly behind other village properties giving it a wonderful feeling of peace and tranquillity. The gardens are of grand proportions and extend to about one acre. They are carefully tended and beautifully presented by the owners who welcome guests to explore and enjoy this gardeners paradise. The quaint market town of Thirsk lies just 1.5 miles away and can be accessed via a public bridleway directly from the cottage garden, ideal for those who fancy a short stroll. Quality dining out is also on your doorstep, the village pub/restaurant is just 100 yards away, and is renowned for its quality food at reasonable prices. This pub has a real homely atmosphere and attracts many locals who just enjoy a quiet drink and a chat. Stable Cottage is ideally situated for the famous cathedral cities of York and Ripon, the North Yorkshire Moors and the Yorkshire Dales, which all have much to offer, so come rain or shine, there will always be a sunny welcome awaiting you at one of Yorkshires many attractions. Children are made very welcome at this property, though they are politely asked to respect the gardens. Unfortunately, these gardens are not suitable for ball games, although there are parks close by for the children to enjoy. Stable Cottage is located next door to a very small village primary school so the volume of traffic on the main street will increase slightly at approximately 9.00am and 3.30pm during term times, though this is unlikely to be apparent to those visiting Stable Cottage.
