Accommodation overview: This attractive, stone built, semi-detached house dates back to 1790 and is in a wonderful position overlooking the harbour with spectacular sea views. The house is newly refurbished yet retains charming original features including beamed ceilings and open fireplaces. The cottage style lounge and bedrooms all have stunning views and the house is very comfortably furnished in keeping with the traditional ambience. There is a lovely enclosed garden with patio and lawn, garden furniture and barbecue where you can sit out and enjoy the scenic surroundings. This historic and very picturesque fishing village lies at Scotland most southerly point on the tip of the Machars between Luce and Wigtown Bay and is most famous for the ruined 13th C St Ninian Chapel which stands on the rocky foreshore. There are excellent local opportunities for salmon, trout and sea fishing as well as sailing and boat hire. Around the local area there are many historical places of interest to visit, the local golf clubs welcome visitors and magnificent coastal walking can be enjoyed.
