Accommodation overview: This cottage is beautifully furnished and in tranquil surroundings. Snape is best known as the venue for the Aldeburgh Festival and for other events throughout the year held in the Maltings Concert Hall. However, the village, at the head of the tidal estuary, is a popular holiday venue in its own right and central for exploring the unique area of the Suffolk Heritage Coast - the tidal estuary and network of footpaths are one of the most interesting areas of Suffolk for exploring on foot. There is easy access to the coastal town of Aldeburgh, plus castles and much more to explore at Framlingham and Orford. The burial treasures at Sutton Hoo, near Woodbridge, should not be missed either. Accommodation overview: A former ale house, this one double bedroom property was originally built around 1470. Feather Cottage is furnished to a simple style that assists an authentic feel but all the modern conveniences are in place. Peasenhall lies along a valley running east to west and Peasenhall's main street (the A1120) runs alongside the 'Causeway' - a brook, which is now a culvert with bridges across it. On either side are pretty cottages, some in traditional Suffolk pink, some thatched, others slated or roofed with pantiles. The nearest pub is only a 20 minute walk away to The White Horse in Sibton. Peasenhall has a village stores, a renowned delicatessen, a family butchers and cafe.
