The farmhouse is found down a private drive in the hub of an organic working farm and retains many of its original features with stonework and wooden beams. The local village of Iddesleigh is 2 miles away, and offers the award winning pub, The Duke of York, with local ales and good food. If you have time to venture further afield, there are many local attractions within a short drive including Dartmoor and Exmoor, with Lynton and Lynmouth to the North, Exmouth and Sidmouth to the South, and lovely beaches of Bude and Widemouth to the West. The Big Sheep, The Milky Way, RHS Rosemoor Gardens, coarse fishing at Stafford Moor and Dartington Crystal are also a short drive. Cyclists and walkers are both well catered for in the area with the famous Tarka Trail within easy reach and farm walks. Leisure facilities: the patio area offers a private hot tub. Play facilities: children can enjoy the play area with swings, slide and climbing frame. The first-floor accommodation can be accessed by two staircases offering SIX bedrooms: all with TV, first stair case leads to large family bedroom with king-size and single bed, 1 twin room. 1 king-size double with en-suite bath, shower cubicle and WC. This room is situated so that it can be accessed by both sides of the farmhouse via doors on each side of the room, these can be open or closed depending on your party make-up. The second staircase takes you to 1 master bedroom with king-size bed and en-suite bathroom with P bath, shower over and WC, and 1 further twin room. Downstairs you will find 1 large double (up one step) with quiet seating area, perfect for the elderly or those needing added accessibility. Bathroom: up the first staircase, family size with 3/4 bath, quadrant shower cubicle and WC. Up the second staircase opposite the twin room with bath, shower cubicle and WC. Downstairs large bathroom with large walk in shower and WC. Lounge: one step up takes you into the first of 2 lounges, the first offering TV, DVD, cosy wood burner and patio door to the garden. Within the rustic village of Winkleigh, you will be ideally placed for touring the whole of Devon. Within a short stroll there is an award winning village inn serving excellent food and local ciders, as well as a general store, butcher, fishmonger and Post Office. There are some lovely countryside walks to explore directly from the property as well as nearby Dartmoor with its rugged scenery and wildlife. There are long sandy surfing beaches to the North as well as sheltered coves to explore. Attractions in the area include RHS Rosemoor Gardens, Dartington Crystal, Castle Drogo and much more. In the evenings enjoy a meal at the village pub or relax and watch the sun go down in the enclosed suntrap patio garden with seating.
