Located at the end of a drive, Homelands offers visitors its own exclusive indoor heated swimming pool as well as being comfortably furnished throughout and boasting many character features including inglenook fireplace with wood-burning stove and exposed beams. The village of West Winch offers a shop and pub serving good food and access to the common is provided from a gate leading directly from the garden of the property. Medieval Kings Lynn (2 miles) has excellent shopping, bowling alley, leisure centre, cinema, pubs and restaurants as well as a theatre. An easy drive leads to the North Norfolk coastline, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and renowned for its uncrowded sandy beaches, coastal walks, RSPB nature and bird reserves and is well worth a visit. The seaside resorts of Heacham and Hunstanton (16 miles) offer an array of activities for all ages including a pier with live entertainment, Sea Life Centre, cliff top golf course and of course the wonderful Blue Flag sandy beach. A boat trip to visit the basking seal colony and the Norfolk Lavender Centre makes for an alternative day trip. The Royal Sandringham Estate and museum is easily accessible and open to the public when the Royal Family is not in residence.
