Accommodation overview: Situated on the ridge between the Brede and Tillingham valleys (Tillingham Valley pictured) just 3 miles from the ancient Cinque Port of Rye this pretty detached cottage boasts a charming beamed interior and its own garden. Set close to the owner's home it makes a delightful base from which to explore the many attractions of East Sussex. The nearby wetlands offer wonderful birdwatching and myriad footpaths afford lovely country walks. With its cobbled streets and beautifully preserved medieval Tudor and Georgian houses Rye is a delightful town seemingly almost untouched by time and where visitors will find numerous interesting shops and eating places. Winchelsea Camber Sands and Hastings (10 miles) are a short drive. Golf fishing and riding are nearby. Pub serving food ¼ mile.

Accommodation overview: Situated in the grounds of the owner’s farmhouse, this attractively converted, detached stable with the original ‘eyebrow‘ windows, offers stylish accommodation allegedly built over the old smugglers runs as the area was once frequented by the infamous Hawkhurst Gang! Rudyard Kipling was a regular visitor to the farmhouse. The holiday property is ideally placed for enjoying walks in the picturesque Brede and Tillingham Valleys and a stone’s throw from the heart of Rye, a beautiful medieval town suspended in time. Enjoy the sand dunes at Camber, Great Dixter Gardens, Bodiam Castle and the Kent and East Sussex Steam Railway. Shops 2 miles, pub ½ mile. Gravel slopes to entrance.
