Accommodation overview: The Barn is an immaculately presented single-storey cottage situated in superb open countryside in the midst of the Sutherland hills. The main living area is open-plan, with a warm welcoming lounge area with deep leather sofas and a lovely wood-burning stove as a focal point. The kitchen / dining area is bright and modern and very well-equipped. This superb room enjoys stunning views across open countryside to the Sutherland hills beyond. There are two large bedrooms (with the same spectacular views) both beautifully presented with colour-coordinated soft furnishings and a good sized shower room. Situated in a quiet lane, The Barn offers peace and tranquillity in a quiet rural yet accessible location. The attractive small town of Lairg is just 2 miles away. Set on the side of Loch Shin, it has a good selection of small shops, restaurants, pub and cafe. There is also a fascinating visitors centre and lovely walks by the side of the loch.
