Accommodation overview: Kitana is set in a quiet, exclusive no-through road just a mile from the old market town of Ringwood. The detached holiday home enjoys a spacious, light and airy feel. The garden wraps around the house and offers different sitting areas to make the most of any sunshine and also has a summer house. The holiday home provides a real haven from which to enjoy and explore the surrounding area. The New Forest can be discovered on foot, or by car or bicycle - exploring some of the appealing villages, and perhaps stopping for a cream tea in one of the many popular tearooms. Join the Castleman Trail nearby which follows along much of the old Southampton to Dorchester railway covering 16½ miles, the trail links 3 popular parks; Avon Heath Country Park, Moors Valley Country Park and Upton Country Park. There are many activities for all the family to enjoy, including Marwell Zoological Park, New Forest Otter and Owl Wildlife Park or a day out at Beaulieu Motor Museum to name a few places of interest nearby. Further afield, but well worth a trip, is Monkey World and the Tank Museum near Wool. Southampton, with its maritime history and West Quay shopping centre, makes for a good day out browsing around the shops. Beach lovers will enjoy a day by the sea nearby at Mudeford, a charming fishing village lying at the entrance to Christchurch harbour and the centre of the local fishing industry, where fresh fish can be bought from the fish stall, or very popular are the Blue Flag beaches of Bournemouth and Sandbanks Poole. Accommodation overview: Old Bridge Cottage lies on the banks of the River Avon in Hampshire at the edge of Ringwood, a beautiful old market town on the edge of the New Forest. The holiday cottage overlooks open water meadows to the rear yet is only a 2-minute walk to the centre of town with its range of shops, wonderful pubs and fine places to eat. The riverside garden has 100 feet of private river bank with fishing rights and views over the river to the nearby thatched pub, the Fish Inn. The house itself dates back several hundred years in parts but has been extended over the years. All can enjoy the large hot tub and sauna and the main garden has a lovely outdoor heated swimming pool and the Breeze house for al fresco dining. The lively coastal town of Bournemouth is 15 minutes’ drive, the ancient city of Salisbury 30 minutes’ drive and London 1-2 hours by car or coach. An ideal spot from which to explore the New Forest National Park with its varied wildlife, walks and cycle paths. Shops 200 yards. Main house: Living room with open fire, surround sound and two French doors to small sun room/
main garden. Large dining hall with oak refectory table seating 12 and main staircase.
