Accommodation overview: This lovely detached 17th-century barn conversion has original beams and lots of character, and is in an excellent position to explore Exmoor and the surrounding countryside. The property sits just outside a quiet rural village and is set within the owner’s 4-acre grounds, with stunning views across the countryside. The property has been decorated and furnished to a very good standard and offers spacious accommodation. This is an excellent base for walking, birdwatching and fishing as there are fishing lakes only a 5-minute drive away, or for a relaxing peaceful holiday. Ideal for families to get together as there are many local activities from pony trekking to quad biking and adventure parks. There are also many sandy beaches such as Woolacombe, Braunton and Minehead a mere 40-minute drive. Dulverton, which has many local art, craft and gift shops, boutique clothes shops, tea rooms and restaurants is well worth a visit and only 5 minutes away. There are many National Trust properties well worth visiting and of course there is Exmoor with its dramatic scenery, ponies and wonderful quaint villages. The main village of Bampton is 4 miles distant, and has all local amenities and a few pubs serving good food. There is also a pub in the local village of Oakford just a short walk away. Shop 4 miles and pub ½ mile. Spacious living room with wood-burning stove and wooden floor. Sitting room.
