Friendly villages and open countryside ideal for walking, cycling, fishing and climbing surround the tiny village. Only 10 minutes from Durham City with a magnificent cathedral, fine shops, river walks and castle dating back to 1072. The famous Metro shopping centre is only a 25 minute drive.
