Accommodation overview: This converted single-storey detached holiday barn with two shower rooms lies adjacent to the owners’ and is beautifully presented and enjoys far reaching views. The village of Hooe was once surrounded by sea although 2 miles from the coast now, it is possible that William the Conqueror landed here. The remoteness of the area and distance to the sea made this an ideal smuggling haunt and the landlord of the Red Lion, James Blackman, was a member of the Groombridge Gang in the 18th century. Pevensey Levels are an ornithologist’s and walker’s delight. Pevensey is one of the south’s leading locations for windsurfing and water sports.
