Accommodation overview: This traditional country house is one of two lovely holiday properties set in the unspoiled beauty of the Assynt peninsula. Enjoying magnificent views over the green valley to the moors, the house is at the mid-point of the scenic single-track road, which winds round the coast from Lochinver to Kylesku. The house is exceptionally spacious with a charming atmosphere and very comfortable furnishings. It enjoys a sheltered wooded location with patio and garden furniture and is only 100 yards from SU301 - the properties can be booked together for larger family groups.
The surrounding area offers excellent outdoor activities including walking, climbing, fishing, diving and boat trips. At the Geopark Assynt there are nature reserves, bird colonies and a wealth of flora and fauna. There is a beautiful beach nearby and each turn of the road opens up an ever-changing vista of sea, coast, mountains and moors. Local shop and pub 1 mile.

Accommodation overview: This modern detached house, built by the MacPherson family, is on the site of an old crofthouse which was destroyed by fire - it enjoys magnificent views over the sea to Handa Island and across the woodland to the mountains. Unusual in style, the spacious and bright living rooms are on the upper level to take advantage of the views, with a large veranda where guests can sit out and enjoy this very tranquil and scenic location. The interior is comfortably furnished, ideal for a family holiday. The house stands in a small cultivated garden which is safely enclosed.
Drumbeg (2 miles away), is a small crofting township and makes a wonderful base to explore some of the most dramatic scenery in Scotland - the complex geology of Knockan Crag attracts enthusiasts from around the world and the Suilven and Quinag mountain ranges are excellent challenges for experienced hill-walkers. The Island of Handa is a nature reserve and boat trips can be taken to see the spectacular seabird colonies. Trout and salmon fishing can be arranged locally, Lochinver is a busy fishing port and the area boasts some wonderful beaches to explore on sunny days. Shops, pub/hotel 2 miles.
