Accommodation overview: This delightful, one bedroom, semi-detached, traditional stone built cottage, nestles in the small, quiet village of Clachan. Stables Cottage was indeed once a stable and it has been cleverly converted into unique holiday accommodation. The cosy, open plan lounge/kitchen area has all you require and the French doors lead out to a patio area and then down into a shared garden. When relaxing on the patio the sound of the river can be heard as it flows by and there is a lovely view to the hills beyond. The open wooden staircase leads up to the bedroom, which has a large, feature circular window, offering a fantastic view out onto the hills. A short 20 minute walk from the village leads down to a lovely sandy beach and there are several good walks close by. The local hotel is within walking distance and has a bar/restaurant. The local service station also has a well stocked shop with post office facilities.
