Accommodation overview: Drimdarroch Farm Steading Cottage is a beautiful detached converted steading located on a working farm near the small village of Strachur, which lies on the east shore of Loch Fyne. The open plan kitchen with dining and lounge area has oak flooring and is spacious and light. Accommodation overview: Port-an-Eillean is a quaint detached property set on a croft looking out to Loch Riddon on the Cowal Peninsula. The cottage is over 100 years old, with thick stone walls and originally had a thatched roof. All rooms have a view down to the sea loch and across to the hills beyond. The cottage is pleasantly furnished with two bedrooms upstairs and lounge, kitchen/diner and shower room downstairs. The area is great for cycling and a canoe/kayak can be easily launched from the shore. A boat mooring is available and a boat could be launched locally.Fishing is available from the rocky shoreline. There is an enclosed grassy garden at the front door and from the back door you are lead out onto decking which is also enclosed, both provide safe areas for children to play.The croft is set within approximately 14 acres of rugged ground, with some machinery stored on it, unfenced to the shoreline and a river runs passed the cottage, so children would need to be supervised at all times. The croft is no longer worked but the owners may on occasions visit their static caravan.

Accommodation overview: Set next to a walled garden of 1.5 acres, this delightful traditional stone-built cottage was originally built to house the gardener for the 1000 acre estate surrounding a large Victorian mansion but has now been extended and extensively renovated to create a warm, elegant home in the country house style. Accessed by 1/2 mile of private road from the main West Coast route south of Oban (4 miles away), this is an ideal peaceful location yet within easy reach of many activities and places of interest. Oban offers trips to the islands, a distillery, cinema and sports centre as well as extensive shopping. Sailing, diving, horse-riding, water sports, golf and tennis can all be arranged. Guests staying at Glenfeochan enjoy free fishing for sea trout, brownies and possibly even a salmon on the River Nell. Loch fishing can also be arranged. Shops 4 miles. Good choice of restaurants in the area. This charming cottage has its own pretty enclosed garden with barbecue and teak furniture, and guests may also use a picnic site (with pinic table) on the top of the hill behind the cottage with superb views over the valley. There is a ramp access and the spacious ground floor rooms have wide doorways. The interior design is very tasteful with comfortable furnishings and some lovely period furniture.

The village sits on the side of Loch Fyne, a long, deep sea loch renowned for its fantastic wealth of sea-life. It is named after the old Victorian furnace which is now a ruin and managed by Historic Scotland. The Old Post Office is over 250 years old and is a lovely stone built property with thick walls. The open plan ground floor has a fully fitted kitchen with double Belfast sinks and breakfast bar, leads to the lounge and dining area. Then into the wonderful light conservatory which has patio doors out into the enclosed south facing back garden. A wide range of local activities includes fishing, golf, sailing, canoeing, horse riding, mountaineering, mountain biking and walking. Take your bikes across on the ferry from Port Appin to explore the Isle of Lismore. There is easy access to Glencoe, Fort William, Oban and day trips to the islands. There are several good restaurants in the area.

Accommodation overview: Hollybush Cottage is a fantastic semi detached property situated on the loch side within the quiet village of St Catherines, which lies on the east shore of Loch Fyne. The cottage is beautifully presented, with great attention to all detail. The lounge has a wonderful wood burning stove, large leather corner sofa, stunning view from its bay window and patio doors leading out into the garden. Relaxing at the bay window is the ideal place to enjoy the sea view, bird watch, perhaps catch a glimpse of a cruising basking shark, seals or even otters. The open plan dining/kitchen area is well equipped with all that is needed to cater in comfort. Upstairs in the master bedroom is a superb brass king size bed and a delightful window seat providing a beautiful view over to Inveraray and its Castle. The twin bedroom is spacious and has solid oak wood furniture. There is a delightful reading corner at the top of the stairs with a selection of books to choose from. The garden runs down to the sea, with access through a gate onto the rocky shoreline.
