These delightful holiday properties are all situated within an arable working farm, with horse stables, riding and livery, which are all available to guests by prior arrangement. Surrounded by miles of open countryside, fields and scenic walks along a historic disused canal, it is abundant in wildlife, including many birds, as well as rabbits, hares and deer. Paddock Barn and The Courtyard are attached, and have been designed with a similar layout, including open plan living rooms and kitchen/dining rooms with natural slate floors, wood-burning stoves and spacious bedrooms with vaulted ceilings. The Little Yard is adjacent and provides cosy, comfortable accommodation, ideal for couples or smaller families. West Cottage and Canal Cottage lie slightly apart, about 150 yards from the other 3 barn conversions, and are adjoining 19th-century refurbished cottages. These properties can all be booked together to accommodate larger groups, to sleep a maximum of 32 guests in total. Barnham Court Farm is located just 4 miles from the nearest quiet beach at Climping, whilst the unspoilt beach at West Wittering is only about 20 minutes’ drive away. Chichester is only 6 miles away, with its beautiful ornate cathedral and abundance of pedestrianised cobbled lanes with various shops, tearooms, pubs and restaurants. Other amenities include a leisure centre with indoor pool, a cinema complex, the popular Festival Theatre which has year-round productions, and famous Goodwood Races for horse or motor racing; Fontwell racecourse is also only about 3 miles away. Other places of interest include The Weald and Downland Open Air Museum, and historic Arundel with castle cathedral, various book and art shops, and the Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust – ideal for bird-watchers. Slightly further afield is Brighton, perfect for a family day out, boasting the decadent Royal Pavilion, art galleries, theatres and Sea Life Museum, plus seaside entertainment along the promenade and pier. The South Downs National Park is less than 3 miles away with wonderful opportunities for walking and riding, with many footpaths. Accommodation overview: Set in a forested and tranquil area on the edge of the popular village of Burley within the New Forest National Park, the cottage sits detached next to the owner’s grand house. The Stables has direct access to the forest next to an Iron Age fort and is within short walking distance of panoramic views of the forest - a scenic picnic site. The holiday property has been finished to a high standard and offers a gravelled courtyard garden with covered sitting area. The village centre, ¾ mile, has pubs, tea rooms, village store and is an ideal place for enjoying the New Forest. The unspoilt forest and heathland with wandering ponies and cattle is what makes the New Forest famous. Miles of beautiful walks are available, or alternatively the surrounding area can be explored by car or on bicycle via the many cycle paths - discovering some of the appealing villages, towns, attractions and gardens such as Lyndhurst, the sailing town of Lymington (with ferry terminal to the Isle of Wight), Beaulieu Motor Museum, Exbury Gardens and the riverside village of Bucklers Hard. The county of Hampshire itself was enjoyed by Jane Austen with her house and museum in Chawton and her resting place in Winchester Cathedral. Further afield but well worth a trip is Monkey World and the Tank Museum near Wool. The coastline with its Blue Flag beaches at Bournemouth and Poole is within a short drive, with golden beaches and has many popular activities such as windsurfing, boating and swimming.
