Accommodation overview: Spectacularly situated high above the pretty village of Beauly, this cottage enjoys magnificent views out to the Beauly Firth and Inverness. The property is furnished, equipped and decorated to a very high standard and offers comfortable warm accommodation. There is ample parking, a secure fenced garden with sun-house and a lockable shed for storing bikes. As one double bedroom and bathroom are on the ground floor, it may be suitable for guests with limited mobility.
The pretty village of Beauly is 1.5 miles away - its floral displays have won many awards and there are shops and many good places to eat out. Beauly is very centrally positioned, 14 miles from the Highland capital of Inverness and less than an hours drive from the West Coast. Loch fishing, golf and pony trekking can be arranged locally, for skiing Aviemore is within easy reach, and in summer there are the lovely beaches of the Moray Firth coastline. Local attractions include Glen Ord Distillery and the Moniack Castle Winery, or take a boat trip on Loch Ness for a pleasure boat trip.

Accommodation overview: Spectacular mountain views across Glen Nevis are an impressive feature of this recently built romantic retreat – its glass gable ensures maximum aspects even from the mezzanine floor bedroom. Very comfortably furnished and boasting its own garden and deck overlooking that glorious view it sits within the grounds of the owners' home an easy walk from pubs and shops (¼ mile) and just a mile from town facilities. The UK's best mountain bike tracks are close by (there are two bicycles available free of charge for exploring them) and with a footpath to Ben Nevis just ½ mile away the local hill walking climbing and skiing (in season) are excellent. Trips to the Silver Sands of Morar and ferry port of Mallaig passing Glenfinnan where Bonnie Prince Charlie raised his standard in 1745 are a must.

All rooms are bright, spacious and well-furnished and the large conservatory makes the most of the views and catches the sunshine all day with doors opening onto a patio area where guests can sit and enjoy the scenery. The property is on a working sheep farm and guests can see farm animals and a wide range of wildlife all around.
