The Sparrows’ Nest is the quintessential country cottage with a thatched roof, a wealth of exposed beams and a large inglenook open fire; it provides a warm welcome all year round. This detached, listed holiday home is located in the peaceful village of Ousden only 8 miles from Newmarket with its famous racecourse and National Horse Racing Museum and is equidistant between Newmarket and Bury St Edmunds. Cambridge 40 minutes’ drive. Shop 3 miles, pub ½ mile. Large beamed living room with open fire in inglenook fireplace and double sofa bed (for alternative sleeping only). Large beamed dining room with ornamental inglenook fireplace. One step down to beamed kitchen with Aga and electric cooker. Study area. Bathroom with over-bath shower and toilet. First floor: Two double bedrooms, each with beams and additional single bed (each for +1); one with en-suite toilet, one with step. Low ceilings throughout.
