A rural idyll on the Dee estuary in north Cheshire once a medieval deer park is the wholly delightful setting for this cluster of four newly converted barns. Smartly furnished and very comfortable they are perfect for holidays at any time of year. The cottages sit round the perimeter of an enclosed ½ acre orchard and lawn amidst pastureland affording plenty of space for tranquil relaxation yet within 15 miles of both the beautiful city of Chester and Liverpool vibrant city of culture. Contrasting cities they offer a huge range of year round attractions: Liverpool's Albert Dock is a UNESCO World Heritage site home to the Tate Liverpool art gallery the International Slavery Museum and the Beatles Story. Chester boasts Roman city walls lovely riverside terraces designer shopping and a world famous zoo. Sandy beaches lie 6 miles away at West Kirby also site of a marine lake for windsurfing and the Wirral Country Park provides miles of scenic walking and cycling whilst further afield Snowdonia and the Lake District make great day trips. Parkgate (1 mile) offers restaurants café three pubs a general store and superb ice cream.

"This cottage is ideally situated to explore the Wirral and Cheshire and we were very pleased that we were less than 30 minutes away from Chester Zoo ( Liverpool is easy to get to too). There is a good pub only a mile away. The interior design was of a good standard we especially liked the good sized living and dining room with the lovely high ceiling. I am sure that when the summer weather arrives an evening outside in the shared walled garden will be lovely. The owners were very friendly and welcoming and added extra touches to make our stay feel special."
