The picturesque seaside resort of Lyme Regis, setting for the film The French Lieutenant’s Woman, with its pretty harbour, cob, sandy beach and quaint shops, offers ideal family days out, or one can explore the whole length of this popular coast between Weymouth to Exmouth. Inland there are many historic houses, Forde Abbey and Gardens, Killerton House and Gardens, and Montacute House and Gardens to name a few.
