The ancient Cinque Port of Rye with its cobbled streets and antique shops, the seaside town of Hastings and the attractive market towns of Battle and Tenterden are all within a 20 minute drive. Great Dixter House and Gardens - regarded as the epitome of English plantmanship - and the medieval moated castle at Bodiam are close by.
