A bustling fishing village Tarbert also offers boat trips to Jura Gigha Islay and Arran whilst opportunities for sea fishing and riding in the lovely surrounding countryside are available locally. There is golf too with the 18 hole championship links course at Machrihanish just a short drive away and four other courses close by.
The glorious landscape of the Kintyre Peninsula holds a rich variety of attractions with excellent hill walking and beautiful forest scenery. At Lochgilphead (15 miles) Kilmory Castle displays its world famous rhododendrons in its lovely gardens. A little further on Dunadd hill fort and Kilmartin Glen's wealth of standing stones are steeped in history

For golfers just over an hour away is the well kept secret of a lovely links course at Southend the standard of green keeping of which would be hard to fault and the little local 9-hole course at Tarbert with its warning of a bad tempered stag was also enjoyed."

"Location fabulous with stunning views over the harbour hills and out to loch fyne and the mainland. The property's rooms were larger than expected and well laid out and equipped. Can't praise the property enough you simply have to try it and see for yourself. There is so much to do and see in Kintyre and the surrounding areas we ran out of time and will have to go back again!! "
