Trips to the island of Arran depart from Ardrossan and day trips to Northern Ireland from Stranraer are easily possible. Troon is 20 miles. An excellent restaurant is within a short stroll and Maidens has a village shop.

Customer reviews
Feedback from customers about Learig-Cottage-Maidens-Ayrshire includes:
"Maidens Harbour is beautiful; picturesque relaxing & peaceful quiet at night yet plenty going on. Also it gave us a good base for visiting the area both by car and on foot. The cottage was not only decorated & fitted to a very high standard but its maritime theme was delightful."
