On the north edge of the Ashdown Forest, enjoying beautiful views, is this pretty beamed barn conversion adjoining another larger unoccupied Sussex barn and situated on the owner’s farm. Ideally placed for visiting the setting of A.A. Milne’s and E.H. Shephard’s Winnie the Pooh stories and exploring ‘The Enchanted Places and Pooh Sticks Bridge!’, Hartfield also offers good pubs and food alongside tea rooms. Visit the Ashdown Llama Park, Hammerwood Park - once owned by Led Zeppelin in the 1970s and now being restored, Royal Tunbridge Wells, approximately 7 miles, and also ride the Spa Valley Railway to Groombridge. Beaches at Seaford and Brighton. Lewes and Gatwick are within an easy car journey. Riding and golf locally. Shops 2½ miles, pub 1 mile. Beamed living room with French doors to terrace, open-plan with kitchen/dining room with Aga (for cooking). First floor: Two beamed bedrooms; one double, one single. Shower room with toilet.
