These exceptionally smart and immaculately presented cottages boast an ideal location in a holiday village set around the perimeter of Darwin Lake. Ashover Beeley and Farley form a little row of three Haddon Cottage is a detached property whilst Peveril Cottage is one of a terrace enjoying a peaceful lakeside position. Surrounded by acres of forestry land Darwin Lake lies twixt craggy moorland offering panoramic views and the beautiful Derwent Valley now a World Heritage site. Visitors will discover a lovely woodland walk around the lake as well as extensive cycling and walking opportunities from the door and a wealth of exciting and diverse attractions within easy reach. Magnificent Chatsworth House Haddon Hall (perhaps the most perfect house to survive from the Middle Ages) Matlock Bath – home of the Heights of Abraham with its cable cars and Great Masson show cave tours – the High Peak Cycle Trail (with cycle hire) Arkwright's famous Mill at Cromford and Gulliver's Kingdom family theme park are all under 6 miles whilst Alton Towers is an hour's drive. Riding and golf are available 3 miles away and the sailing centre at Carsington Lake is 12 miles. Matlock's shops galleries takeaways restaurants and heated indoor swimming pool are just 3 miles. Shop and pub ½ mile.
