Sympathetically renovated from a hayloft and corn chamber and fitted out to a high standard, Gin Cottage boasts exposed beams, trusses and a cosy wood-burning stove, all effectively blended with a hand-painted mural, a hand-made bed, galleried first floor bedroom and sea-grass flooring. Set within the beautiful grounds of the owners’ home (Horsleygate Hall) and Cordwell Valley, and adjoining stables, it has its own secluded courtyard area with the original gin wheel. An excellent base for walking, riding, bird-watching and exploring the Peak District. Chatsworth House, 10 minutes’ drive. Good selection of pubs and restaurants locally. Shops 3 miles. Beamed living/dining room with wood-burning stove leading to modern fitted Scandinavian-style kitchen. Bathroom with over-bath shower and toilet. Open-tread stairs to first floor: Beamed double bedroom with low door leading to gallery with futon-bed (for +1).
