Set in the heart of Royal Deeside – an area closely associated with the Royal Family since the time of Queen Victoria – this very comfortable and well equipped property with its own walled garden area is ideally situated for exploring the beautiful valley of the Dee and the Grampian Mountains. Picturesque towns and villages many ancient castles and the Whisky Trail around some of Scotland's most famous distilleries are all within easy reach. Aberdeen and Inverness (the capital of the Highlands) both make good day trips. Golf canoeing gliding pony trekking hill walking and spectating at Highland Games are just some of the activities in the area and fishing is available by arrangement. Skiing in season is available nearby. Bar and restaurant at Inver Hotel 3 miles. Choice of pubs restaurants art galleries and antique shops at Ballater 8 miles.
