This luxurious traditional 'Finnish' log house is a peaceful oasis on the edge of the Pentland Hills. The lodge stands in a secluded one-acre garden backing onto meadows. Care is required with young children as there is a pond and stream. Large decking areas and a south-facing covered verandah with seating allow guests to enjoy al-fresco dining in tranquil, scenic surroundings. This unique lodge has lots of charm and character and is finished to a very high standard with a bright, stylish interior and attractive comfortable furnishings. There is ramp access for assisted wheelchair users or visitors with walking difficulties.
The picturesque and historic market town of Biggar is 4 miles away with shops, pubs and restaurants. The spectacular 'Falls of Clyde', New Lanark World Heritage Village, horseriding, fishing, cycling, golf and hill-walking are all easily accessible. Day trips are possible to Edinburgh, the Scottish Borders, Glasgow, Stirling and The Trossachs.
2 double and 1 twin bedroom, (cot and high chair by arrangement), living room with log effect fire open plan to dining / integrated kitchen, bathroom with jacuzzi bath and 'rain' shower over bath. Cooking by gas hob/electric oven, gas central heating. Fridge/freezer, washer/dryer, dishwasher, microwave, television, video, DVD, CD player. Bed linen and towels are provided.
