Just a five-minute walk to the beach and the interesting town centre of Aldeburgh, Curlew House is perfectly located for a fun family holiday or get together with friends and makes an ideal base for exploring Suffolk’s Heritage coastline. Curlew House has all the convenience of a modern property but was specifically designed to display the charm of an older style cottage. Spacious and well equipped, this comfortable house has been refurbished; the main living room has Sky TV with video/DVD player and there is an additional sun room and study/reading room, giving plenty of space to relax and have a quiet moment. There is a downstairs bedroom suite with double bedroom, shower room and separate sitting room with double sofa bed, Sky TV with video/DVD player. The other four bedrooms are on the first floor and are all pleasantly decorated and well furnished. To the rear of Curlew House there is a private garden with sun terrace which can be accessed via French doors in the living room as well as from the sun room. There is off road parking for three cars on the front driveway with additional roadside parking. A small supermarket and traditional public house are just 500 yards away. Aldeburgh’s high street offers an interesting mix of shops, high quality restaurants, art galleries, an independent cinema and even an award-winning fish and chip shop! There is plenty to do for all ages; tennis, golf, sea and river sailing or a gentle walk along the glorious pebble beach. Picturesquely set on the East Suffolk Heritage coastline, Aldeburgh is best known for its connections with the composer Benjamin Britten. The acclaimed Arts and Music Festival is staged yearly at the nearby Snape Maltings Concert Hall attracting many famous names and visitors. Venturing further afield the delights of the Heritage Coast are all within easy reach, most notably Southwold, home to the Adnams Brewery, working lighthouse and Art Deco pier, Orford with its 12th-century castle and oystery, Thorpeness Mere and boating lake, Walberswick with the RSPB nature reserve at Minsmere, and Woodbridge, a beautiful market town situated on the River Deben.
