Accommodation
In a splendid position, within comfortable walking distance of Mundesley’s gently shelving sandy beach, this spacious family house enjoys its own indoor heated swimming pool (available all year round) and an extensive, fenced garden with a large patio area and brick-built barbecue. There are wonderful, panoramic sea views from the first floor living room, as well as from the garden, which extends to within 10 feet of the cliff face. Reached directly from the hall of the house via a glazed door, the magnificent, mosaic-tiled swimming pool has a stepped ‘Roman’ end, and its building also houses a shower room with toilet. The house is located in a prestigious residential area of Mundesley, within easy reach of its shops and inns. Along the coast to the north lie the seaside towns of Cromer, Sheringham, Wells and Blakeney, where there are miles of sandy beaches, excellent launching facilities for dinghies, windsurfing, water-skiing and good fishing. Cromer, famous for its crabs, has two museums, including the Lifeboat Museum at the pier. Sheringham boasts over 700 acres of National Trust parkland, and is also the terminus for the North Norfolk Steam Railway which runs inland to Holt. Wells-next-the-Sea is a working harbour with a busy quay, while Blakeney, with its cobbled streets and picturesque fishermen’s cottages, is popular with small boats. Blakeney Point is a nature reserve for birds and seals. To the south lie the Norfolk Broads, with over 200 miles of navigable rivers and waterways winding between miles of windmill-studded marshland, and passing through many pretty Broadland villages. For those wishing to tour the Broads other than on the water, then there are many cycle rental points throughout the area as well as designated cycle trails. There is a choice of good golf courses in the immediate area. Shop 400 yards. Entrance hall. Well-equipped kitchen with sitting area. Dining room with further sitting/TV area. Utility. Twin bedroom. Single bedroom. Bathroom with over-bath shower. Separate toilet. Open-tread spiral staircase to first floor: Comfortable living room with panoramic sea views and gas fire. Double bedroom.
