Accommodation
In an elevated position overlooking the village to the River Glass and the glen, this lovely property was one of the oldest houses in the village (1790's), but now provides a comfortable holiday cottage. Cannich is in one of Scotland's most beautiful glens, surrounded by wonderful scenery, peace and tranquility. Some of Scotland's highest mountains are only 1/2 hr by car for hill-walking or climbing.
There are lovely walks through forests and across moorland, providing plenty of opportunities for spotting buzzards, eagles, ospreys and red deer. Visitors can fish the loch free of charge from the bank or hire a boat locally. Loch Ness is 12 miles away, or travel into the Mountain and Glen Affric or Glen Canninch to enjoy more remote hill loch scenery. Inverness (30 miles) offers a variety of leisure amenities, entertainment and good shopping.
On the outskirts of the village, the cottage is in a sheltered south-facing position and the enclosed garden area is a natural sun trap with excellent views. The cottage is cosy, comfortable and well-maintained - a traditional family holiday home. Village shop and pub 1/3 mile and a choice of places to eat in the local area.
1 twin and 1 single bedroom, sitting room, kitchen with dining area, shower room. All electric. Fridge, auto washer/dryer, microwave, television, video, CD player, pay phone. Bed linen and towels provided.
