A superb base for exploring Derbyshire Cheshire and Staffordshire its excellent furnishings offer a high degree of comfort and a pool table and playstation provide entertainment. A local hotel/ bar restaurant and a visitor centre (for rowing boat hire) are ½ mile and the lake boasts a miniature railway. Leek (3 miles) offers interesting shops a swimming pool and two golf courses whilst Waterworld indoor skiing bowling and a cinema complex are found in Festival Park Hanley (15 miles). Stoke's pottery museums bargain china shops Gladstone museum Trentham Gardens with great entertainment in the Monkey Forest and High Treeline Walkways are all under 15 miles. Biddulph Grange and Little Moreton Hall (both N.T.) Chatsworth Haddon Hall Bakewell and Buxton are all within easy reach.
