Accommodation
This traditional granite terrace dates back to 1760 and was originally a coaching inn, now concealing three charming cottages. Each is tastefully decorated with fittings and furnishings of a high standard to provide quality accommodation specifically for couples.
The lovely welcoming atmosphere and quaint character combine with the magnificent location overlooking the valley of the River Dee to the distant mountains to make this the ideal holiday destination at any time of year. Each cottage has an outdoor patio area with garden furniture to sit out and fully enjoy the panoramic views.
The beautiful country town of Ballater, 2 miles away, has quality shops (many displaying the Royal Warrant), pubs, galleries and a renowned country club. Aberdeen with its excellent facilities is 40 miles down the valley. Royal Deeside lies at the gateway to the Cairngorm National Park in an area of outstanding natural beauty and offers much in the way of spectacular scenery, wildlife and activities - walking, biking, climbing, golf, angling, riding, gliding and winter sports are all within easy reach. The cottages are ideally situated for touring with easy access to the Whisky and Castle Trails, the magnificent high passes into Perthshire or north to Inverness and the picturesque Moray Firth coast.
All rooms on ground floor:1 bedroom with zip link beds (please specify whether double or twin required), lounge/dining room/kitchen, bathroom (shower over bath). All electric. Fridge, washing machine, microwave, television, video, DVD, CD player. Bed linen and towels supplied.
