Sweeping views across the Kyle of Sutherland river will impress visitors to this carefully converted and characterful former steading. Enjoying garden access at different aspects this cottage (shown right) offers warm and comfortably furnished accommodation making an excellent base for exploring an area that is both beautiful and off the beaten track. Dramatic mountain scenery affords glorious hill and forest walking and the fishing is superb. A trip to the Falls of Shin where salmon leap and Harrods of the North has a shop and restaurant serving the wonderful local produce is not to be missed (2 miles). Dornoch (15 miles) is home to beaches and golf and Dunrobin Castle (25 miles) is well worth a visit. Shops in Bonar Bridge 6 miles and pub serving food 2½ miles.
