This charming holiday cottage dates back to the 1700s and sits on the edge of Britain’s first seaside resort. Two stunning bays with glorious sandy beaches are divided by a rocky headland, overlooked by the 12th-century castle, which affords stunning views across the coast to Filey Brigg. Beaches, cliff top walks and shopping centre are accessed via the Victorian cliff lift. A town of style and character, with an elegant esplanade and magnificent spa complex where the only remaining seaside orchestra still perform. Shop 100 yards, pub 22 yards. Large beamed living room split by double sided wood-burning stove with vaulted ceiling and wooden floor. Spacious beamed dining room with open fire in original cast-iron fireplace and wooden floor. Large, beamed, well-equipped, farmhouse-style kitchen with TV. First floor: Double bedroom with 5ft bed, original stripped wooden floor. Two twin bedrooms. Bathroom with freestanding bath, separate shower cubicle and toilet.
